Human remains found in rural Sask. possibly a decade old, RCMP says

RCMP say human remains found in a rural area northeast of Moose Jaw were possibly at the location for at least 10 years.

Officers were called to the scene during the afternoon hours of April 28.

The deceased person has not been identified, the RCMP said in a news release Friday.

“This investigation, which will consider historically missing persons in the area, is ongoing and an update will be provided as soon as more information is available,” the statement said.

RCMP added that searches will continue in the area, adding that people may notice an increased police presence.

Police said at this time they do not believe the death was suspicious in nature.
