As Apple investigates issues with iPhone alarms, here are some possible solutions

iPhone users are sounding the alarm on their phone alarms.

In recent days, social media has been flooded with posts from users complaining that their phones’ built-in alarms aren’t ringing, making them late for work, school, and appointments.

Now Apple recognizes its problems.

The tech giant told Today this week that it is aware of the issue of some alarm clocks not playing the expected sound and that the company is working to fix it.

It is unknown how many iPhone users are affected.

Meanwhile, some users say that disabling the Attention Aware feature in the Face ID and Passcode tab has helped resolve the issue, as the feature allows an iPhone to check if someone is looking at its device. If so, the phone will tone down the alerts.

Apple says on its website that Do Not Disturb settings and putting your phone on silent do not affect alarm sounds.

In the meantime, it may be advisable to purchase an antique alarm clock if you don’t want to risk missing out on your morning responsibilities while accidentally drifting off into dreamland.
